Job summary

NMS Recruit is seeking an Automation & Integration Engineer to join an established technical applications team. You will develop and deliver advanced automation and sensor-based solutions for manufacturing customers, taking projects from requirement through to commissioning and handover.

This hands-on role covers sensors, robotics, PLCs, vision systems and data interfaces, with opportunities for on-site installation, testing and customer demonstrations across UK sites.

Qualifications

• This role requires practical experience in automation or system integration within manufacturing.
• Hands-on installation, commissioning and fault finding across sensors and controls.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical system concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions using 2D/3D sensor technologies.
• Integrate sensors with PLCs, robots and HMI/PC systems.
• Design, test and commission demonstrations and customer solutions.
• Provide post-installation support and handover documentation.
• Collaborate with sales/tech teams to define project requirements.
