Job summary

LabGenius Therapeutics in London is seeking an Automation Scientist to design, develop and optimize cutting‑edge automation for antibody discovery. You will blend synthetic biology, automation, and ML to accelerate high-throughput screening while staying hands‑on with assay development and molecular biology work.

You will collaborate with software and data science teams, maintain protocols, and stay at the forefront of lab automation, ensuring efficient bridge between manual and automated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree paired with industry assay development experience.
• Experience with liquid handling systems and automation workflows.
• Ability to author and maintain documentation and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop, run, and maintain automated workflows in a lab environment.
• Troubleshoot automation systems and resolve technical issues.
• Support and train scientists to run workflows on automated systems.
• Design experiments to improve molecular biology, production, purification, and screening.
• Prepare assay-ready plates and run routine cell-based assays.
• Liaise with Software Eng and Data Science teams to translate wet lab processes into insights.
• Develop automation scripts and integrate them into platforms; maintain protocols and reports.
• Interpret results and recommend next steps.
• Stay updated on lab automation and molecular biology advances.
