Job summary

Vantage Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead control and automation projects from enquiry to delivery. You will manage budgets, programmes, and specifications while building strong client relationships and contributing to the business growth.

The role requires a strong technical background in industrial automation (PLC, HMI, SCADA) and proven delivery to time and budget. Engineering degree preferred with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Project Management within the Controls & Automation industry.
• Strong technical understanding of industrial control systems, including PLC, HMI and SCADA technologies.
• Demonstrable experience delivering automation projects to agreed budgets, timescales and specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness, including project financial management and cost control.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant engineering or automation qualifications, ideally degree level.

Responsibilities

• Manage the successful delivery of control and automation projects from enquiry to completion.
• Take responsibility for budgets, programmes, technical specifications and commercial performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Provide technical and commercial leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project teams and support their development.
• Identify and manage risks, challenges and client requirements.
• Support tender preparation, cost estimates and technical proposals reviews.
• Collaborate with senior management on business development and growth.
• Act as primary client contact to resolve technical and commercial issues.
