Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Control Testing Automation & Monitoring Lead in Reading to design and deliver automated control testing and monitoring solutions across IT, OT, and business environments. You’ll work closely with the Control Testing & Assurance Manager, digital teams, and stakeholders to automate checks and strengthen monitoring, enabling safer, compliant operations.

The role requires automation expertise, a structured risk-based mindset, and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in control testing automation within enterprise environments.
• Structured, risk-based approach to assurance activities.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to automate control testing across IT/OT and business functions.
• Design and implement automation plans for continuous monitoring of controls.
• Evaluate tooling and technologies for control testing automation.
• Maintain documentation for automation workflows and exception handling.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and support automation initiatives.
