Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience using hand tools with mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Practical understanding of mechanical/electrical/software-controlled systems.
• Good IT skills and confidence using technology.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to Health & Safety.
• Physical capability to work in a large operational environment.
• Genuine interest in engineering and automation.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
• Long-term engineering career ambition.
• Willingness to learn complex automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with Maintenance Technicians to keep automated systems operating safely and efficiently.
• Provide first-line response to faults across automated material handling equipment.
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Support Maintenance Technicians during breakdowns and repairs.
• Complete planned and reactive work orders within agreed service levels.
• Carry out maintenance tasks under Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
