Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering Operations team at our Tamworth site. You will ensure peak performance of our automated facility, working with inbound/outbound teams and supporting maintenance across the site.

This role operates on day shifts, 4 days per week, with a competitive salary and benefits package. You will thrive in a fast-paced, automated environment and take pride in proactive, solutions-focused work.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering experience in FMCG or automated environments.
• NVQ 3 apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Strong technical ability across automation hardware and software.
• Experience with reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Working knowledge of automated warehouses and their technical components.

Responsibilities

• Proactively carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across the facility.
• Collaborating with other departments to improve machine reliability.
• Identifying improvement opportunities and supporting engineering projects.
• Maintaining accurate records of work, parts, and maintenance activities.
• Monitoring, reporting and analysing data relating to automation and maintenance performance.
• Responding to tote jams on conveyor systems and restoring flow.
• Using computerized maintenance systems to complete reports and logs.
