An established industry player is seeking an Automation Maintenance Engineer to ensure the performance of automation assets. The successful candidate will be required to follow the Tyneside Mail Centre shift rotation system, with some voluntary flexibility to meet our 24/7 operational needs, including voluntary overtime and occasional shift pattern flexibility.
The role will cover early, late, and night shifts.
Responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures.
You should be an experienced multi-skilled engineer qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). You should understand Health & Safety legislation and have hands-on experience maintaining automation equipment. A flexible approach and effective communication of complex issues are essential. You should have a passion for continuous improvement and be willing to work towards obtaining City and Guilds 2391 & 2392 testing and inspection certification. A full UK driving licence is required as travel to other sites may be necessary.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, which includes practical and verbal assessments. Proof of qualifications will be required at this stage.
