Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Software Operations Engineer to join the Castle Donington site. You will ensure software and hardware are maintained, systems communicate effectively, and work closely with the onsite maintenance team and customer to drive stability.

The role covers troubleshooting, process improvement, and collaboration with logistics to align activities with business goals. Strong knowledge of SQL, Linux, and at least one programming language (Java/C++/Python) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience with Linux, Java, SQL or C++.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of WMS/WCS/SRC is advantageous.
• Experience in warehousing/fulfilment or fast-paced consumer goods environment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of SQL and Linux; command execution, troubleshooting and bug fixing.
• Experience with Java, C++ or Python; scripting/coding capability.
• Provide hardware support for onsite customers and employees; trace log files for data.
• Manage ITIL systems for the site.
• Analyze systems to drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Logistics Operations Manager to align work with business goals.
