Job summary

Marex is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate its global network infrastructure. The role emphasizes automation using Python and Ansible, with IaC practices to streamline configurations, monitoring, and troubleshooting across WAN, LAN and security domains.

You will work with cutting-edge technologies, coordinating with global IT teams to ensure high uptime and low latency for trading and market access.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking/finance IT environments.
• Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS or PCNSE desirable.
• WAN technologies including MPLS, IPsec VPN, SD-WAN, QoS, NAT, SASE.
• Strong routing and switching knowledge: BGP/OSPF/EIGRP; VLAN, HSRP, VRRP, VRF, MLAG, EtherChannel, Multicast PIM.
• Security and cloud networking knowledge: Palo Alto, AWS/Azure.
• Automation skills: Python (Netmiko/NAPALM), Ansible, Terraform.
• Vendors and hardware experience across major vendors (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Aruba).
• Troubleshooting across IP/LAN/WAN and firewall domains.
• Design/Architecture experience for WAN/Campus LAN, DMZ, and exchange connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate and maintain Marex's global network infrastructure.
• Automate configurations and monitoring using Python, Ansible and IaC tools.
• Provide operational support and vendor coordination for network services.
• Ensure regulatory, compliance and security requirements are met.
• Report network status to stakeholders and drive improvements.
• Be flexible with hours and occasional weekend work as required.
• Follow risk management processes and uphold Marex values.
