Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains seeks a skilled technical author to shape regulatory-compliant documentation for in-house industrial automation machines. You will translate complex engineering content into clear manuals, guides, and training materials, collaborating with engineers and SMEs to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical writing, technical communication, or technical authoring in engineering/manufacturing.
• Understanding of CE/UKCA marking, regulatory frameworks and ISO standards.
• Strong illustration and CAD visualization skills; ability to structure content clearly.
• Experience with knowledge management systems (wikis, document control, CMS).
• Commitment to precision, clarity, and continuous improvement in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance Documentation: develop and control CE/UKCA-related docs and assess machinery compliance.
• Knowledge Capture & Transfer: create internal guides, SOPs, and standards for consistency.
• Training & Assessments: design user guides and assessments for engineers and operators.
• Technical Communication & Visualisation: generate illustrations, schematics, and visual aids from CAD data.
