Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd. is recruiting an Automation Support Engineer for our client, a modern FMCG site in Skelmersdale. You will lead automation improvements, run projects on production lines, and perform fault-finding and preventative maintenance on automated machinery to maximise uptime.

The role is Monday to Friday days, with exposure to high-speed lines, offering opportunities for technical growth and future leadership within a market-leading manufacturing business.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing or FMCG.
• Hands-on maintenance: planned, reactive and breakdown in a fast-paced factory.

Job Role of the Automation SupportEngineer.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Automation SupportEngineer to join a modern, high-tech FMCG manufacturing site in Skelmersdale. You will be responsible for carrying out automation improvements and projects on the production lines and machinery, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of automated and semi-automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Working on a Monday - Friday days based role, you will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving reliability, and supporting production performance across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Automation Support Engineer

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast paced industrial factory.
• Experience within an automation support role
• Experience within manufacturing environment

Requirements for the Automation Support Engineer

• Hands-on electrical fault-finding experience.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Automation experience within similar environment
• PLC fault-finding experience .

Desirable Requirements for the Automation Support Engineer.

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
