Vectis Recruitment is assisting a successful manufacturing group with expansion plans to recruit a Controls & Automation Engineer. You will install, commission and maintain automated machinery and production systems, diagnose faults and support PLC-controlled systems across existing assets.

The role requires hands-on wiring experience, reading schematics and datasheets, and contributing to upgrades and continuous improvement projects with production, engineering and maintenance teams to boost

Qualifikationen

• Experience in manufacturing, production or industrial automation environment.
• Good knowledge of PLCs, HMI's, robotics and electrical control systems.
• Hands-on experience with control panel wiring and electrical circuits.
• Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience designing and installing pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong team player with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Aufgaben

• Install, commission and maintain automated machinery and production systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and automation-related faults on industrial equipment.
• Support and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, HMIs, Drives and industrial communication networks.
• Work closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and meet operational requirements.
• Assist in defining project scopes and validating technical design specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and datasheets.
• Support machinery upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and reliability.
