Job Title: Automation Chapter Lead
Location: London (WFH Available)

The Role:
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Automation Chapter Lead to provide technology leadership for our automation capabilities. You will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Automation Architects, and subject matter experts to design and deliver best-in-class automation solutions focused on enhancing customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the engineering and development of automation features that deliver real customer value, guiding your team toward engineering excellence.
• Set, define, and communicate standards and best practices while mentoring and supporting colleagues to foster continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain a clear technical vision and roadmap, advising teams on how to build and design aligned with this strategy.
• Drive performance measurement and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the automation function.
• Create and present compelling business cases for platform upgrades and improvements to senior leadership.
• Maintain a technical debt register, ensuring at least 20% of team capacity is dedicated to resolving tech debt and enabling enhancements.
• Identify and manage risks throughout the design and development lifecycle.
• Lead and nurture cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration and alignment with business priorities.
• Identify skill gaps within your team and coordinate training or coaching to support development.
• Cultivate future leaders within the team to ensure continuity and avoid single points of failure.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required.

What We’re Looking For:
• Exceptional communication skills in written and verbal English, with the ability to articulate complex decisions clearly and concisely.
• High initiative, motivation, and a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Proven experience managing multiple priorities in parallel while maintaining focus on what matters most.
• A passion for leading, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative, multicultural engineering environment.
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in automation solutions, including Dynamics 365 CE, Azure PAAS, .Net, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), DocuSign, and other automation tools.
• Strong software engineering background with expertise in agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, and Azure DevOps.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desirable but not essential.
