Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd in Scotland is seeking an Automatic Door Engineer to service and install automatic door systems across retail sites in the Central Belt. You will work on sliding, swing and bi-fold doors, and cover planned maintenance and reactive calls.

The role offers a base salary around £40,000 with overtime driving the realistic £55,000 OTE, a company van, 25 days leave plus bank holidays, and ongoing training within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience installing automatic door systems (sliding, swing, bi-fold).
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Install automatic door systems across sites (retail focus).
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and fix them.
• Attend reactive call-outs and emergencies as needed.
• Ensure EN16005 safety standards are followed.
• Conduct site surveys and communicate improvements.
• Maintain service records and reports.
• Interact with customers face to face.
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
