Job summary

Plan B is seeking an Automatic Door Engineer to service, maintain and repair sliding, swinging and revolving doors across Hayes and surrounding sites in West London. You will join a team delivering high‑quality access solutions for retail, healthcare, transport and commercial settings.

The role suits engineers with strong fault-finding skills, basic electrical knowledge and a willingness to progress through structured training, with long‑term stability and clear development pathways.

Qualifications

Strong fault-finding skills and basic electrical knowledge.
Full UK driving licence and relevant operating licences.
Ability to work independently across customer sites.
Experience in automatic doors or service/maintenance background.
Positive, reliable and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

Servicing, repairing and fault finding on automatic sliding, swing and revolving doors.
Electrical checks, sensor testing and control system diagnostics.
BS EN 16005 safety checks and compliance documentation.
Attending breakdowns and delivering first time fixes.
Supporting installations and commissioning.
Providing clear updates and professional on-site service.
