Job summary

Plan B is seeking an Automatic Door Engineer to service and maintain sliding, swing, and revolving doors across Ilford and East London. You’ll handle fault-finding, electrical checks, and safety compliance, with on-site support for installations and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have experience in automatic doors or relevant field service backgrounds, possess strong fault-finding skills, and hold a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Automatic door experience or PPM / Field Service / electrical maintenance background
• Strong fault-finding skills and basic electrical knowledge
• Full UK driving licence + relevant operating licences
• Confident working independently across customer sites
• Positive, reliable and customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairing and fault-finding on automatic sliding, swing and revolving doors
• Electrical checks, sensor testing and control system diagnostics
• BS EN 16005 safety checks and compliance documentation
• Attending breakdowns and delivering first-time fixes
• Supporting installations and commissioning
• Providing clear updates and professional on-site service
