Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd is seeking a Door Engineer to cover Birmingham and the West Midlands. You will be responsible for maintenance, service, and repair of automatic door systems, working from a company van, with ongoing training and a strong team support network.

The role offers a base salary of £40,000+ with an OTE around £55,000 in the first year, plus a company pension, 25 days holiday, and a range of benefits including a laptop and phone. Overtime is paid at premium rates.

Qualifications

• EN16005 certification is required.
• Experience working on swing and sliding entrance systems.
• Excellent customer service skills expected.
• Electrical, welding or hydraulics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair swing and sliding automated entrance systems within the local postcode area.
• Manage your own work in progress and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Attend regular training courses to stay up-to-date with equipment.

Do you currently work within the Door Industry and have a passion for Field Service Engineering? A leading Automatic Entrance system manufacturer has a newly created Door Engineer opportunity for someone with a background within their industry. You will be covering the Birmingham and West Midlands area. The company offer a full training and development program, where you will be buddied up with another member of the team and learn how things are done. Responsibilities of an Automatic Door Engineer

You'll be reporting to the Service Manager and be expected to be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of swing and sliding automated entrance systems within a local postcode area. Each day you'll be working with an assortment of equipment produced by the company in their factory. You will be expected to manage your own work in progress, ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, attend regular training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment, and be an active team player sustaining the company's fantastic reputation and future growth.

Requirements of a successful Automatic Door Engineer

• EN16005
• Previous practical experience working on swing and sliding entrance systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Electrical, welding or hydraulics experience

Salary and Benefits for an Automatic Door Engineer:

• £40,000+ basic OTE circa £50k+ in your first year
