We are seeking an experienced researcher to join the CUE Robotics Team at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working alongside experts in robotics and automation. The role offers access to world-class laboratory facilities and cutting-edge technologies, placing you at the forefront of innovative research and development.
This position will play a key role in a small team developing novel automated inspection systems for the UK’s next-generation submarine fleet, focusing on the inspection of structural components, tanks, and pipework. We are looking for a candidate with substantial research experience, especially in visual inspection and laser scanning.
To be considered, you should hold a PhD or equivalent qualification and have significant research experience with a proven track record of delivering research projects. The role involves regular travel to partner sites for meetings and demonstrations. Applicants must be willing and able to travel, and a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position for three years, with potential for extension depending on funding. The role is based at the University’s city centre campus in Glasgow.
