Job summary
The Solution Auto, a growing automotive group based in the North West, is seeking an experienced Group Buyer to join their purchasing team. You will manage supplier relationships to secure the best terms, source stock across a diverse automotive portfolio, monitor market trends and competitor activity, and work with senior management to align supply with business needs.
Salary is 40,000 with OTE up to 50,000, and there are excellent career prospects within the group.
Qualifications
- Previous buying, procurement, or stock acquisition experience (automotive background preferred).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- A strong commercial mindset with analytical ability.
- The drive to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence in managing multiple priorities at group level.
Responsibilities
- Managing and building supplier relationships to secure the best commercial terms.
- Sourcing stock and negotiating deals across a diverse automotive portfolio.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform buying decisions.
- Working closely with senior management and internal teams to align supply with business needs.
- Identifying opportunities to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and maximise profitability.
