Job summary

TipTopJob in Daventry is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician Technician to support commissioning, diagnostics and electrical build across production lines. You will diagnose complex faults, interpret wiring diagrams and work with engineering teams to ensure vehicles meet quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive electrical systems, a proven track record in a manufacturing environment, and good problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of automotive industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Experience within a vehicle manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical information.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning vehicles throughout assembly, trim and end-of-line production stages.
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and electronic vehicle faults.
  • Using specialist diagnostic equipment and technical documentation to investigate issues.
  • Supporting electrical build and repair operations across the manufacturing environment.
  • Interpreting wiring diagrams and engineering drawings.
  • Maintaining accurate technical records and documentation.
  • Identifying recurring faults and supporting permanent corrective actions.
  • Driving improvements to commissioning, diagnostic and electrical repair processes.
