PSR Solutions are working with an established Plant Solutions Company based in the Midlands who are looking to recruit an Auto Electrician / Installation Engineer to join their Engineering team. The company has an enviable reputation within the rail and civil engineering industries as a leading supplier of safety and mechanical inspections for heavy duty lifting equipment and plant machinery.

Auto Electrician / Installation Engineer Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in various types of machinery, From Rail Plant to Construction plant machinery.
• Installing cameras onto Rail Plant to Construction plant machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for installations or repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Auto Electrician / Installation Engineer Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex electrical systems.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations is advantageous.
• Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople.
