Job summary

Mackworth Vehicle Conversions is part of the Motus Group. We are seeking skilled Auto Electricians to join our production team in Mackworth, Derby.

You will assemble, install, and commission electrical systems across a range of commercial vehicle builds with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency. Candidates should read wiring diagrams, work independently or in a team, and meet tight production deadlines while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in auto electrics within commercial vehicles or conversions.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction of commercial vehicle bodies in line with wiring diagrams and engineering specifications.
• Install, assemble, and commission electrical components to required standards.
• Interpret and work from wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Install wiring looms and integrate them into existing vehicle electrical systems.
• Remove and refit vehicle trims and components to facilitate installations.
• Test electrical systems on newly built vehicles to ensure full functionality.
• Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and carry out necessary repairs.

Job Introduction

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Electricians to join our production team.

You will play a key role in the assembly, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems across a diverse range of commercial vehicle builds.

Working both independently and as part of a team, you will interpret technical drawings, install complex electrical components, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
