Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair and restoration to pre-accident condition.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, disassembly/reassembly, realigning chassis, replacing parts, welding, painting, and inspecting work to meet KPI targets. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and may have a technical program or apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Able to work with other repairers in a shop.
• Strong understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare customer estimates using various tools.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and windshields with parts; repaint as needed.
• Weld and attach parts; ensure work meets factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect for quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
