Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a full-time Autism Support Worker for a special needs primary school in Barnet. You will support pupils with autism 1:1 and in small groups, working with teachers and therapists to foster a safe, structured and joyful classroom where every small win matters.

The role emphasises nurturing, flexible support, strong communication with pupils, staff and parents, and a commitment to ongoing safeguarding and development training.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, especially autism.
• Nurturing, flexible approach and belief in every child’s potential.
• Excellent communication with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Help children develop communication, social and emotional skills and celebrate progress.
• Bring positivity and practical strategies to the role daily.
