Job summary

Academics is seeking a compassionate School Support Worker in Bletchley to support learners with autism and communication needs in a nurturing setting. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, helping non-verbal students engage with education.

Hours are 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with full-time hours on a temporary/ad-hoc basis and potential temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidate. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Requires patience and empathy when supporting learners.
• Experience with autistic/non-verbal learners is preferred.
• Ability to work in a structured, nurturing environment.
• Comfort with providing personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners with autism and additional needs.
• Assist non-verbal students with communication, sensory activities, and learning tasks.
• Offer personal and intimate care as required.
• Follow individual learning and care plans to help learners reach their potential.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals to create an inclusive environment.
