Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant for a welcoming ARP unit in Hounslow, starting September 2026. This full-time role supports pupils with ASC and communication difficulties in a structured, mainstream setting.

You will work with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised plans, assist with daily routines and sensory regulation, and help pupils build confidence and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly autism.
• Patience, empathy and a consistent support approach.
• DBS check (Enhanced) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND (primarily ASD) in small groups or 1:1 settings.
• Work with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans.
• Assist with daily routines, sensory regulation, and behaviour support.
• Help to build confidence, independence, and communication skills.
