Job summary

Senploy is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support students with autism in a well-managed secondary school in Redbridge. The role begins on a temporary basis with a clear route to a permanent contract for the right candidate.

You will work closely with the SENCO and class teachers, delivering planned interventions, using visual timetables and social stories to help students access lessons and thrive in school life.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with autism.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
• Calm, patient and consistent with clear boundaries.
• Strong safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support students with autism in lessons and around school, 1:1 and in small groups.
• Help students feel calm, understood and ready to learn.
• Deliver planned interventions and share progress with the team.
• Work towards EHCP targets and follow school policies.
