Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is partnering with a Southend-on-Sea school to recruit a School Behaviour Assistant. You will support small groups of children with autism and assist the class teacher and another TA.

The role emphasises building rapport and trusted relationships to progress learning, working closely with the SENDCo to implement tailored approaches. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
• Have previous experience of working in a UK Primary/Secondary School, ideally within the last 12 months
• A valid DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis
• Supervising pupils in & out of the classroom
• Encourage and support the child learning
• Helping the teacher prepare for lessons and plan activities
