Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is recruiting a School Behaviour Assistant for a Southend-On-Sea school to support a small group of children with autism, assist the class teacher and another Teaching Assistant, and help implement tailored learning approaches.

You will build rapport with pupils, supervise in and out of the classroom, and contribute to lesson planning with the SENDco. Eligibility to work in the UK and a recent DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in classroom settings.
• Ability to build rapport with pupils and adapt to individual needs.
• Awareness of autism and SEN in primary/secondary environments.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.
• Supervise pupils in and out of the classroom.
• Encourage and support learning activities.
• Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and planning.
