Job summary

EmpowerED is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Walton-on-Thames to support pupils with autism and related SEND in a specialist setting.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping learners access lessons, develop communication and social skills, and build independence under the guidance of the teaching team.

The role is full-time, term-time only, with opportunities to grow SEND knowledge and form strong relationships within the school community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker or Support Worker would be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to pupils with autism and SEND, working closely with teachers and the specialist team.
