Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Pupil Support Worker for Stenhouse Primary School in Edinburgh. The role involves supporting pupils with autism and other complex needs in a specialised provision (ESB). The post is part-time, with 11 hours per week across 39 weeks per session, Monday to Thursday 11:30am–2:15pm.

An PVG check/update and overseas criminal record check if applicable are required. You will work in two classes, alongside two teachers, a part-time Early Years Practitioner,

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with additional support needs.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated and patient.
• Strong team player and ability to reflect on practice.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in ESB across two classes.
• Work in both classes per the timetable.
• Assist two class teachers and EYP in delivering learning activities.
