Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting a Pupil Support Worker for Stenhouse Primary School in Edinburgh. The role supports pupils with additional support needs in a nurturing learning environment and involves working with two classes under the direction of two class teachers.

Hours are 11 per week across 39 weeks, with sessions Monday to Thursday 11.30am–2.15pm. The post is part-time and requires patience, reliability and teamwork to help young people achieve their learning goals.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with additional support needs.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, self-motivated and patient.
• Strong teamwork and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional support needs in a nurturing learning environment.
• Work in both classes alongside two class teachers, one part-time EYP, and six Pupil Support Workers.
• Be a strong team player and reflect on practice to improve outcomes.
