Job summary

Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a caring Learning Mentor to support pupils in Taunton, with a focus on autism. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, helping pupils engage with learning activities and daily routines, while promoting communication, independence and positive behaviour.

Experience in a school or SEND setting is preferred; however a positive attitude, safeguarding awareness and a patient, nurturing approach are essential. DBS and references required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with autism in school or SEND settings preferred.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach with a positive attitude.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with autism 1:1 or in small groups.
• Help pupils engage with learning activities and daily routines.
• Encourage communication, independence and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff.
