Job summary

Norton College is a Worcester-based independent specialist school for 11–19-year-olds, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with ASD. You will work with teachers and the multidisciplinary team to foster structure, safety and meaningful progress in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above – essential.
• Experience or interest in supporting young people with autism and additional needs.
• Ability to work with pupils who may display behaviours that challenge.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support to help students access learning and reach goals.
• Support teachers to deliver autism-informed learning.
• Help students build confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Maintain safeguarding and pupil wellbeing to high standards.
