Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking an Autism Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist Access Centre in Lyde Green, South Gloucestershire, supporting children aged 5 to 11 with Autism. This is a permanent position following a 16-week settling-in period.

You will work full-time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a start ASAP. The role offers a warm, patient environment where building trusting relationships and compassionate support help children thrive.

Qualifications

• Patient, caring and emotionally resilient
• Confident working with children and building relationships
• Motivated by helping vulnerable children develop confidence and independence

Responsibilities

• Support autistic pupils to access learning and communicate using alternative methods
• Develop social and language skills through classroom activities
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and build trusting relationships
