Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting an Autism Support Assistant to work in a primary-aged SEND school in Spennymoor. This is a full-time, temporary role starting as soon as possible, with the potential to lead to a permanent contract.

You will support children with autism, demonstrate patience and resilience, and develop your skills in a caring school environment. Pay: £14.24–£15 per hour, paid weekly; DBS checks will be processed as part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
  • Experience supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Patient, driven and determined to expand skills.

Responsibilities

Autism Support Assistant Spennymoor

Pay: £14.24 - £15 per hour (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Vision for Education are recruiting for an Autism Support Assistant to work in a primary-aged SEND school in Spennymoor. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday), starting as soon as possible, with the potential to lead to a permanent contract. We also have positions available for a September start as well, so whether you are available now or planning ahead for the new academic year, we would like to hear from you.

Requirements:
  • Someone who has worked with children, young people or vulnerable adults in any capacity
  • Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Someone with great patience, drive and determination
  • Someone looking to extend and expand their skillset
