Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a caring support worker to assist a male client in Withernsea with PDA autism profile. You will accompany him to community activities, help with social interaction, and provide emotional support in a sensitive, understanding manner.

Flexibility is required for some evenings and weekends; own car and business insurance are needed for transportation to activities and appointments.

Qualifications

• Must be patient, caring and understanding.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction.
• Ability to build positive relationships and provide encouragement.
• Experience caring for individuals with additional needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to access activities and spend time in the community.
• Transport client to social activities and appointments; mileage reimbursed separately.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to interact socially.
