Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist for the Transforming Care Autism service. The post involves shaping SLT input for autistic adults within a small multidisciplinary team.

You will lead specialist assessments and interventions, provide training to mainstream services, and contribute to audits and research while working within professional guidelines and with a supportive team across inpatient and community settings.

Qualifications

• Entry-level qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Experience working with neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Ability to assess, plan and monitor outcomes with diverse service users.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessments and interventions for autistic adults within the Transforming Care Autism service.
• Deliver training to mainstream services to increase capability.
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate.
• Contribute to service evaluation, audits and research.
• Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and reporting.
• Collaborate with MDT and other professionals to develop care plans.
• Travel to home visits and community placements as required.
