One of the top specialist schools in Wantage for students with SEN is looking for a caring, personable individual to work as an Autism Specialist Support Assistant supporting children with complex Autism and Learning Disabilities. The school is located in Maidenhead, within walking distance from the station, and this is a full-time long-term opportunity. The SEN children are aged between 4 and 16 and will benefit from caring, empathetic, and engaging individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable members of our community.

The school employs a therapeutic approach, meaning the children engage in many activities outside of traditional lessons. Experience working with children or adults with Special Needs would be beneficial for this role.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside therapists and psychologists based on-site. You will be mentored, shadow sessions, and learn from professionals in the field. Additionally, you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. This role is ideal for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapeutic support workers, or SEN teachers.
