A wonderful school in the heart of Wantage is looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.
This is a lovely school where education and ensuring every student has the ability to access their education is taken seriously. Their core values and beliefs are based on inclusivity and making sure that all their students have the tools they need to flourish in a changing world.
Many of these students have struggles with childhood trauma which in turn leaves them struggling with learning difficulties. This affects their school work in a negative way and the school hiring are searching for a Learning Support Assistant who will come in with a positive attitude and make a difference in these children's lives.
Your role as a Learning Support Assistant will revolve around supporting the students in the classroom throughout their school day. You will help then conquer their learning difficulties and help them reach their goals, both academic and personal.
Your day to day roles and responsibilities will vary but essentially you will spend the day supporting the learners through their school work. You will also lend a helping hand to the class teacher by assisting with laying out lesson materials, helping clear up after lessons and helping to supervise during lessons and play time.
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will be an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. You must have some experience working with children in some capacity. You must have a DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one. If you do not have a DBS certificate, we can support your application for one.
This is a wonderful opportunity for graduates, as well as those aspiring to become psychologists, counsellors, behaviour analysts and educational psychologists.
