Senploy is assisting a well-regarded specialist school in Enfield to recruit an SEN Class Teacher for a primary class on a long-term basis, with a genuine view to permanent for the right candidate.

You will lead a small class with EHCPs, supported by a team of teaching assistants. There is daily on-site therapy, high staff ratios, and a culture of relational practice. ECTs with SEND experience are welcome to apply.

Formación

• Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a special school, resource base, or mainstream primary.
• Strong understanding of autism and EHCP processes.
• Ability to plan for pupils working significantly below age-related expectations.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver a personalised curriculum aligned to each pupil's EHCP outcomes.
• Use autism-specific approaches daily (structured teaching, visual supports, PECS, Makaton, AAC).
• Embed communication, regulation, independence and life skills across the school day.
• Track progress and contribute to Annual Reviews.
• Lead and support the class team, modelling effective strategies.
• Contribute to Positive Behaviour Support plans and manage behaviour calmly.
• Collaborate with therapists and families.
