Job summary

Tiffield Academy is seeking an exceptional Learning Mentor to work with autistic students with SLD and SLCN in a new purpose-built school. You will support pupils with complex needs using Total Communication, help them regulate emotions and access learning, and collaborate with families and external professionals.

As part of Greenwood Academies Trust, you will join a supportive team committed to high-quality education, CPD, and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people who have complex additional needs.
• Experience using a total communication approach to support all forms of communication.
• Ability to liaise with external professionals to ensure best support for students.

Responsibilities

• Support autistic students with complex needs to access learning.
• Manage and prioritise your workload to ensure high-quality admin and records.
• Liaise with families and external professionals to coordinate support.
• Build positive relationships with staff, students and families.
• Model and demonstrate the values of the academy in daily practice.
