Job summary

Independent Lives is seeking a caring and reliable support worker to assist a 19-year-old autistic, non-verbal male in his own residential setting in the UK. The role involves medication prompting, personal care, outings, and helping him participate in community activities.

Full training with shadowing will be provided. Opportunities for career development include Positive Behaviour Support training or NVQ Health and Social Care; shifts may include 2:1 outings and some lone working.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with kids/adults with autism is required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Autism Support (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Medication prompting/administering.
• Personal grooming and dressing.
• Eating and drinking assistance.
• Moving and handling.
• Clinical tasks.
• Transportation and companionship.
• Dressing/undressing and bathroom assistance.
• Assist client with life enrichment and community outings.
