Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Headington, Oxford, for the Spring and Summer Terms. The role centers on a Sixth Form class, aged 16-19, within an autism-focused environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised learning, focusing on communication, engagement, independence and functional skills, preparing students for adulthood.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent qualifications are required.
  • Experience with pupils with SEN, ASD, SLD, or complex learning needs.
  • EYFS experience is highly desirable.
  • Primary-trained teachers with experience in Reception, KS1, and SEND are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Sixth Form class for ages 16-19.
  • Deliver highly personalised learning opportunities focused on communication, engagement, independence and functional skills.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing, structured learning environment.
  • Support pupils to reach their full potential and prepare for adulthood.
