Job summary

TLTP Education is recruiting an Autism Resource Base Teacher for a welcoming mainstream primary school in Thurrock, RM15. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons to pupils with ASD within a resource base while supporting inclusion in the wider school.

The successful candidate will have extensive primary teaching experience, strong SEN/ASD knowledge, and the ability to adapt planning to individual needs; collaboration with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and school

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience teaching in a primary school.
• Strong experience working with pupils with SEN and ASD.
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons for diverse learners.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Patient, nurturing approach and commitment to pupil outcomes.
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons.
• Develop personalised learning approaches based on individual pupil needs.
• Have a strong understanding of ASD and effective strategies for supporting autistic pupils.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and wider school staff.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt planning accordingly.
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils both within the resource base and, where appropriate, within the mainstream school.
