Job summary

TLTP Education is currently seeking an Autism Resource Base Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Thurrock, RM15. The role focuses on delivering differentiated lessons and tailored support for pupils with ASD within a dedicated resource base.

The ideal candidate will have strong SEN experience, QTS or equivalent, and be able to collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and adapt instruction accordingly. Immediate start available on a temporary contract with a view to permanency.

Qualifications

• Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Strong experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly ASD.
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Autism Resource Base Teacher with a strong primary teaching background and a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The Role

As an Autism Resource Base Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated learning that meets the individual needs of pupils within the resource base.

The successful candidate will have extensive primary school experience and a strong understanding of how to plan, adapt and deliver learning for pupils with SEN, particularly ASD.

You will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons.
• Develop personalised learning approaches based on individual pupil needs.
• Have a strong understanding of ASD and effective strategies for supporting autistic pupils.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO and wider school staff.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt planning accordingly.
• Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils both within the resource base and, where appropriate, within the mainstream school.
