Job summary

UKCIL is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist an autistic man with mild learning disabilities in Bristol. You will provide social and emotional support, plan engaging sessions, and help him access community activities with a person-centered approach.

The role includes extensive training, supervision, and progression towards Level 4/5 PBS qualifications, with hours starting at 29 per week and potential sleep-ins. A driving licence and own car are required.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in autism, PBS or similar complex needs essential.
• You will need a driving licence and your own car.

Responsibilities

• Provide social and emotional support to the person as he explores new places around Bristol and beyond.
• Plan sessions with meaningful activities at home.
• Prepare resources for his interests and introduce new activities to build skills, independence and confidence.
• Support him in accessing community activities and reducing anxiety.
• Receive training and supervision from an experienced PBS team.
