Job summary

Autism East Midlands is seeking a Pathway 1 Class Teacher at Sutherland House School in Nottingham. The role focuses on providing highly personalised education for autistic pupils aged 3–19 within a sensory and engagement-based curriculum.

You will collaborate with assistants, therapists and families to support meaningful progress. The successful candidate will deliver person-centred education, promote communication and independence, and lead within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience with autistic pupils and/or additional needs environment desirable but training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly personalised learning experiences through sensory-engagement based curriculum.
• Support pupils to make progress in communication, emotional regulation, independence and participation.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and families to implement pupil-specific plans.
