Job summary

LDA Care Ltd. is seeking experienced support workers in the Leeds area to provide 2:1 support for a 21-year-old woman at home. The role involves person‑centred care, personal care and medication administration within PBS and risk‑aware plans.

Ideal candidates will have autism and mental health experience, trauma‑informed approaches, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. Shifts include day and waking night 12‑hour slots across a 7‑day week, with bank hours available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with autism and mental health needs.
• Trauma-informed care approaches.
• Ability to provide consistent, calm and reassuring support.
• Ability to recognise and respond to anxiety and compulsive behaviours.
• Follow structured care plans and risk management strategies.
• Confidence working with external professionals when required.
• Experience in complex care, mental health, forensic or psychiatric settings.
• Strong understanding of autism and person‑centred support.
• Ability to build trusting, therapeutic relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support 2:1 with a 21‑year‑old woman in her own home.
• Follow PBS plans, care plans and risk assessments.
• Assist with personal care and medication as needed.
• Engage in activities aligned to her interests.
• Collaborate with the service manager, team leaders and PBS practitioner.
• Maintain daily routines and support emotional wellbeing.
• Engage safely in the community and leisure activities.
