Job summary

New Bridge Learning Centre, part of New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust, seeks a skilled SEN Teacher to join a highly specialised autism provision for 16–19-year-olds with complex needs. The role focuses on autism-informed practice, structured teaching, and responsive, high-quality teaching.

You will work with a dedicated team to shape the provision, support colleagues, and ensure consistent, individualised learning experiences, underpinned by professional reflection and safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of autism and early developmental learning.
• Experience applying structured teaching approaches including Attention Autism, TEACCH, and co-regulation.
• Ability to translate expertise into calm, consistent classroom practice.
• Experience working with autistic pupils with complex and individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Shape and refine a specialist autism provision at New Bridge Learning Centre.
• Embed high-quality autism-informed approaches across teaching practice.
• Support colleagues to deepen understanding of development, sensory needs and behaviour.
